Villa v Non League opposition in the FA Cup

Just seeing Crawley beat Derby got me thinking.

Have Villa ever been knocked out of the FA Cup by Non League opposition?

Millwall in 1900, Spurs 1904, Reading 1912. Until we played Gravesend in 1996 we held the record for the longest a league team had gone without drawing a non-league side.

Stoke were also out the league when they beat us in 1890-91. They got back in at the end of the season.

That game against Gravesend was actually played "away" at Villa Park wasn't it? Did we play in our contreversial dark blue kit? Also, are Gravesend now Ebsfleet?

Or Woking. Or Sutton. Or Chorley.

I think that covers all of them.

Yep, 4th Division. Also, I'm sure we wore claret and blue in Gravesend game

I'm certain we were in the dark blue kit for that one.

Just looking at a picture and we wore dark blue away shirts and light blue shorts - they wore red shirts, white shorts.

Villa definitely wore the Blue Reebok kit, we won 3-0 and it expected dull and cool for January!

Tottenham should never have knocked us out. Their fans ran on the pitch to get the game abandoned when we were winning then won the rematch. They were tossers even then.
