I also picked up on how Townsend looked. I hope he isn't ill.
Are you sure it wasn't just John Hartson making him look thin?

Three ad breaks in the 30 minute intro to the game today.  That's another thing the BBC has over this load of muppets.

And also...is anyone else sick and tired of those KIA Kevin, Ian & Andrew sponsor bumpers already? Not a bad basic idea, but clearly by a copywriter who knows nothing about lads' footy banter.

Same old Mancs always cheating. Berbatov dives for pen 30 secs in.

ITV cameraman switched away from referee in real time just as he was about to show card to Gerrard.

I wish Clive Twatsley would just describe the action on the pitch instead of talking about players as though he was best mates with them.

Well that's a good point though it was good to see Hartson looking shall we say like he's 'eating heartily' given the health problems he's had.

Nice to see Townsend thought Diouf having a go at a QPR player with a double fractured leg on a stretcher was something to joke about.  :o

Sure if it was ManYoo or Chelsea he'd have a black armband on.

That's true enough. Brain, testicular and another organ cancer, wasn't it?

Brain and testicular anyway, not sure about the third organ. I was amazed to see him on the show and talking about taking up management! Fair play to him, can't have been an easy few years.

Co commentator (Jim Beglin?), "well here's Ryan Babel with a chance to show the new manager what he can do.")  WTF?  As if Dalglish has just landed from another planet and not just stepped down from the Anfield directors box from where he has seen EVERYTHING.  Him and Tyldsley really are a couple of tits.

There was a renegade hair hanging from King Kenny's left nostril in the pre- match interview.
