Code for "Sleepwalking to relegation"

Thanks for this, just set it as the background to my computer, looks great and will keep reminding me to do just that...

Every indication I have had from the club suggested that this would be the case regardless.

His job is safe because it will cost a fortune to sack him 4 months into a contract. Someone will have to remind me, but was it 3 years? Brilliant, just brilliant whoever negotiated that.

If he keeps us up this season, I still want someone else in the summer. But I can guess what will happen.

You could give these two the Brazil team 1970 and Pele would be a centre back, no-one would know where to play, there would be no game plan, no tactics that are applied to suit the opposition, defeatest and divisive team politics, no respect for the management,  morale shot to ribbons and a complete and gut wrenching sense of failure.

You see, it just does not matter who they sign. Houllier (past it- demotivated) and McAllister cannot manage or coach.

No it's ok!  Cos we have signed Kyle Walker!  Disgraceful.

Why is Walker that bad?

Not seen him play in a Villa shirt so I wondered where your knowledge of him comes from ?

I'm not a fan of his but what sort of signals would it send out to appoint a manager on a one year contract? Once the board picked their man they had to give him the stability of a longer deal.

exactly how  can the same players who played at chelsea show such lack of effort and attitude last night! the players clearly do not want to play for him and he cant motivate them - trobled times indeed at b6!

Yet they played their hearts out at Chelsea, who were they playing for then ?

He made several tactical errors last night but it was the same set of players who should have won at Chelsea. Perhaps tiredness played a part, as many are only just back and can't be fully match fit.

As to him bringing the club down, Mon did that with his disgraceful exit so late on.

A Spurs fan I work with (a proper fan, not one of those cocks who bases his opinions based on what Andy Gray tells him) actually really rates Walker.

O'Neill was on a (rolling) one year contarct.

The club needed stability after MON left, the length of contract for whoever followed him needed to show that he wasn't a stop gap.

quote]Houllier said after Wednesday's defeat: "I spoke to Paul Faulkner and he was very supportive.

"I don't doubt Randy Lerner's firm support and determination. We are in this together for better or worse.

Even Houllier seems resigned to defeat.
