It's a difficult one isn't it? Get rid of him and lose the transfer window with no guarantee of improvement, or keep him and back him in the window and hope for the best.

I'm off to watch Laxey v Ramsey in the IOM FA Cup.  Free entry, then a few pints in the local micro-brewery afterwards.  Fuck this shit.

I dont want him to do any more damage so id rather him not have anything to spend and put cowans in as temp

Ok randy that's your decision - now get some players in who give a toss about Aston villa unlike the shambles that played last night- this club is really in a mess- gates dropping, a chairman who never speaks , a manager who seingly is past it amd a squad of players who are very poor and that's being kind.

I wonder if owen coyle will be our new graham Taylor saviour in the summer?

From SSN

"But a Villa statement issued to Sky Sports News on Thursday said that Houllier's job is safe."

Houllier also insisted he retains the backing of club owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner.
"I spoke to Paul Faulkner and he was very supportive," the Villa manager added. "I don't doubt Randy Lerner's firm support and determination. We are in this together for better or worse."

Oh dear..

Today starts the mental preparation for life in the Championship.

Hopefully we get lucky, and a few of the sides around us plummet.

Failing that, maybe it won't be so bad.

New away days, new adventures and with a bit of luck we might get re-acquainted with that big pot that Dennis Mortimer last picked up in the old First Division.

20,000 gates, multiple sponsors on shirts and trips to Millwall, Cardiff and Leeds - magic...

I hope this is a case of saying his job is safe in the morning and then sacking the clown in the afternoon.
