Smacking the ball into the Villa fans at Walsall.

Never trust anyone who reckons he can change allegience from Blues to Villa - it's impossible to do.

I met him in Puerto Banus on a stag do about 5 yrs ago and he strongly denied any allegiance to the Noses.

Nick Cave & PJ Harvey paid tribute to him years ago.

From England web fans

Quote
In the build up to Manchester City Vs Notts County in the FA Cup Lee Hughes revealed he came up against Joleon Lescott in the summer during an unofficial kick-about that got abandoned due to a brawl involving former England international Lee Hendrie

It has been revealed the game was played at Aston Villa's training ground but the match was called off after Aaron Lescott clashed with former Villa youngster Lee Hendrie clashed.

The game featured many Birmingham born pro’s including Darius Vassell Lee Hendrie, Micah Richards, Luke Rodgers and a few others.

The game was an 11 a-side and had  a referee," revealed Hughes revealed telling The Mirror:

"Joleon marked me, but our team won. It was just between the lads from around Birmingham to get a bit of fitness up before we went back for pre-season training.

"But it got a little bit tasty. I turned around, there was a bit of scuffle and that was it - the game ended."

He was a bit like "Nuke" Laloosh in the movie Bull Durham:

A million dollar talent with a 5 cent brain.

That sums him up brilliantly.

Lost his first game 1-0 to Persema Malang.  Bandung are bottom of the league.

I'm out in Indonesia in April for a few weeks.

Might see if I can stop in on a game.

Bumped into him , crouch, barry and postma many moons ago up broad street. They were on the lash after we had beat wolves at their place and it was his call to take them to.......Lloyds Bar.

Fck knows what the posh boys barry and crouch made of it but hendrie was in his element and was good company for a couple of hours before staggering out to an all nighter in ladywood.

I liked the lad as a footballer and wish him well.Always gave 100% ,had talent and he did Brucies head on many a long night. 8)

I think it's more to do with him being one of the most petualnt pricks ever to grace a Villa shirt.

Really? Please explain giving clear examples

Giving it the charlie big spuds round Solihull and Knowle all the while with his mate who drove him everywhere because he was banned for drink driving.

Keeping my mate's sister shacked up in a flat in Balsall Common while he was married.

There's a couple of things to show he was a prick but I don't remember him being petulant on the pitch.
