managers with claret & blue blood
« on: December 31, 2010, 04:58:06 PM »
For me the best Villa managers in recent years have had claret & blue in their veins I believe this makes a difference all of these left due to differences with ellis. All of them came to Villa because it was Villa will anyone ever come again because its Villa, i doubt it. I say bring in to work with Sid and Kev Mac any of these 3 and as they did in the past will improve our position
Sir Brian, BFR or Johny G

At least if we go down we all go down together, we stay strong together and come back bigger and better together

Definately not- succesful managers do not have to have played for the club- wenger, ferguson , clough are examples- in our case saunders is a good example.

I don't care who a manager has played for in his past- it's how he manages Aston villa that matters.

As long as they have Villa's best interest's in mind i don't care where they come from that's what matters most.

Best in my life time was Sir Ron Saunders..and I don't think he had any C&B in his arteries.

European football with Bolton (the club who is probably in his blood) or relegation battle with us?

Tough one for Coyle, that.

Blood that is both oxygenated and deoxygenated?

Most managers have that.

Yes I agree. He'd quit and walk out within the blink of an eye. This is Bolton we're talking about, not Man Utd.

Nobody was a more staunch Villa man than Vic Crowe and he had a torrid time as our manager.

It helps, but it's not a qualification that's necessary.

Someone with a great football brain, got a T shirt or tow in the top flight together with superb man managerial skills and tactical awareness would be my first requirements if I owned the club.

With all due respect, and acknowledging that football is a game of opinions, that's a proper load of old bollocks.

With all this talk of protests, changing manager AGAIN and now managers with claret and blue blood, our transformation to Newcastle fans is almost complete.

Depressing.

Surely Southgate would still have some love for the club? Young manager who did well with Middlesbrough for a couple of seasons, surely can't be any worse than Houllier. Might be able to teach the lads a thing or two about defending too.
