Help With a Quiz Question
« on: December 31, 2010, 11:03:10 AM »
I'm not sure this is the correct place for this question but here goes anyway. There'll be loads of you know the answer off the top of your heads.

A few years ago Aston Villa played Leicester City and the final score was 2 - 2.
Which Villa player scored all four goals?

I was there with all our away fans. Chris scored with at least 2 headers in each net. I rember that match even more as we missed our connecting bus fron Coventry station and  one of my mates "secured" a car for us  to use from "round the corner". After the match we did bring the car back and left it in roughly the same place. (this last bit is fantasy just in case any officers of the law are on line)

Now, there was a player you could count on to give his all.

It was an amazing match with a player on a hat-trick whichever end he scored at.

They mention this game in the News and Record loads - roughly every three programmes!

How many would Nicholl be credited for if the "Dubious Goals Panel" judged on OGs back then?

On the subject of dubious own goals...
How come when yaya toure scored for citeh at West Ham the other week (when his shot came back off the post then in off Robert Green's back) it went down as an own goal?
If the same thing happened on a penalty it wouldn't be classed as an OG, so what's the difference. If it happened in a penalty shootout it would count as a goal... yet applying the OG rule as with Toure/Green it would have to count as a miss in a shootout.

You make  a fair point but in Chris's case there was no doubt. From what I remember they were all cracking headers!

Think it's in the Guinness Book of Records too.
