Nothing so prosaic Leeg.   It's because I lost my lucky hat.   My younger son took a number of our old shirts to give to street boys in Cuba.   In return they gave him a Fidel Castro cap which he in turn gave to me.   The first day I wore it was the day I got the text telling me those wonderful words "O'Leary gone"   It was rarely off my my head during the whole heady period of Ellis toddling off, Randy coming in, Villa on the march.   The day I lost it was the day I got the text "O'Neill gone".

If I can only find it everything will be alright.

I mantain we always have shit seasons when we have claret shorts instead of blue in case of a clash with the white home shorts.  I'm no statistical genius, but I can recall a win or even a semi-decent season with claret shorts.  It was unusual to wear a full change at Citeh - look what good it did us...
