A message to the Aston Villa players
« on: December 28, 2010, 09:14:35 PM »
We know that some of you look at these threads so pass the message on to those that don't. We the supporters don't care if you have a beef with the manager or you don't like the training methods or you wish to be somewhere else. You are living our dream, to be paid huge incomes to play football for the team we love, Villa is our passion and when we see you guys just going through the motions seemingly without any desire to represent the shirt really pisses us off. This is the same squad, less one, that took it up to the top teams in the premiership last year so there is no excuse for the dismal displays we've been watching over the last few months. Next time you run onto the Villa Park pitch have a look around the ground, every single Villa supporter wishes he was you, you are our players. The very least we expect is a total committment to the club and it's supporters.

And when you look up at the crowd try to get into your thick heads that a very large number are enduring great financial hardship and insecurity yet still find the money from somewhere to pay your obscene wages.

Like they're going to give a flying fuck.

You reckon John Carew is going to be sitting there in his gigantic house, worrying about the fact he hasn't earned a penny of his 60k a week for at least three months now?

Will he fuck.

Not really though because this is the same bunch of players (albeit Clarke, Bannan, Albrighton and Hogg never played under O'Neill) that took us to 6th last season and the season before that and on both occasions challenging for 4th spot. Players like Ash, Gabby, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Cuellar, Friedel and even Heskey know what it's like to be competing at the top, winning and know how much it means to the fans. They haven't been in a long and deep coma for the last few months and totally forget what they've done whilst playing for the club etc...

You really honestly think that Villa players read internet forums to see what we think?

Maybe, just maybe some of the young, hungry players that want to impress, but Richard Dunne will be too busy eating Christmas Pudding and Stephen Ireland whitening his teeth, Carew will be in a titty bar somewhere and Sidwell, well he probably isn't doing anything constructive just running around a lot trying to look busy so his Mrs doesn't get him putting up a shelf or something.

They don't give a fuck as long as their Ferrari hasn't got a puncture. Wankers.

Well said. But sadly they wouldn't care less what any of us think. Football in its present form is sick to its core.

Well said man----but i doubt very much whether any of them give a tinkers cuss about our feelings maybe the young ones, Fonz

Bannan and Albrighton not many more, how many show their appreciation of the magnificient  away support they get?, (and at home for that matter),they are more obsessed with swapping f*****g shirts with the opposition, and getting home to their flash wagons and mansions-----selfish ungrateful tossers

Well said Robbo, it's quite clear that the players are playing against the manager, and they're doing this  on Villa skin.

who is to blame for the players being paid stupid money?? we are as fans, because as soon as a player threatens to leave then we are up in arms that we have to pay them more to keep them, and likewise when a player joins us we cant wait to welcome them with open arms and we don't care how much they are paid.

But as soon as things start to go wrong the first thing we do is moan how much they are being paid!!

The club is in trouble at the moment, but maybe out of all this the club will look at this as a way to sort itself out, by getting rid of the big earners /prima donna's, and the players that are just there to top up there pensions etc.. and invest in a crop of young players that we can build a team that we can all be PROUD of.

Well said Robbo, the players are not in touch with reality and for all the club's PR the players are the one's who can change this... Randy, the General, even GH all know about the great name of Aston Villa and the pride we all have for the club. Unfortunately the players only value their wages and all the prizes that come with being a professional footballer, they couldn't give a toss about which set of fans they have to show up in front of next week, football is deteriorating rapidly!
