They're not police. I think they're an all-agency group organised by the council but I could be wrong on that.

Use the word council and it all makes sense.They can't empty a fuckin bin, but can stop you going to a football match.

Update:

It seems the ticket allocation is the result of a compromise between both clubs, which has resulted in reduced numbers for both home and away supporters in the Railway Stand, and to which the police and SAG agreed. This may - and it's only a guess - be an attempt to head off any potential FA action over the League Cup tie.

You would hope that they would seriously look at the away seating for this one, with the layout of the ground and its location the railway end is not ideal

Police or stewards under the stand guarding the toilets might scare some of the morons who only go there to wreck the place.
