Carlos Tevez has handed in a transfer request
« on: December 11, 2010, 11:32:51 PM »
Just seen that interesting news on Sky Sports News... real kick in the balls if you're a citeh fan but hilarious if you're not. If Tevez really goes through with this (I smell another Rooney scenario perhaps?) it'll crush citeh because it doesn't matter how much money they'll throw at their latest and greatest player, no striker is going to get them the goals Tevez has got for them.

39 goals in 60 games. You're right in that he will be impossible to replace.

How have the likes of Curbishley and Pardew kept him happy whilst Mancini hasn't?

Just don't thinkhe fancies it over here. Been here for 3 or 4 years and still cannot speak the English. On top of that he regularly makes trips back to Argentina. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him move to Spain simply to be in a Spanish speaking country. The good thing about our precarious season to date is that we won't have 30 page threads moaning that we aren't showing ambition by trying to buy him.

He wants to play for a local club in Argentina that he played for before coming to Europe. He said the business stank here and he wanted out. He wants to go back the simple life where real supporters appreciated him and were who he wanted to play for; and be near his family. Last article I read anyway. So it is not just the money then?
Will the Citeh forego the business and let him for nothing?  He has been messed around since he came here.  Ethically I understand his thinking but does football anymore?
I think he has had enough; you could see it in his face on MOTD tonight.
Time will tell whether it is a cynical ploy or not..I don't think so.

Can we swap him for Ireland, Brum is a little like Argentina (lots of letters in the name)!

Fair play to him if that's the case.

I too can see him ending up in Spain though - I think the climate here is pissing him off being Sth American.
