No way!! And I d tell him to enjoy the Championship when he next gets a job

More likely we will be in the Championship next season than him.

Yeah, that's my worry.  Unless Houllier gets a couple of gems in January, if Martin O Neill were to take the Newcastle job, I can see him/them finishing above us.

I'd say no but there is a vacancy going in the North East, do you need cab fare!

No from me. Even if I was remotely inclined to say yes, there are too many variables, it's all hypothetical.

The way MON left, if you allowed him back you might as well ask Steve Hodge to join him as assistant manager!

He'd get better from some of the mediocre players we're now saddled with I suspect, but no.

We had long spells without victories under MON too.

Funnily enough in his first season in charge (2006) didn't we go a long spell at exactly this period without a win.

I certainly remember at the time that got Coopers injury and a few others in a tiss about getting relegated.

I'd pack him and Houllier into a taxi and appoint Hughton.

No.

We might be shit thus far this season, but I've seen us play more "football" under Houllier in his time here than I did in the last entire season at home under O'Neill. In fact, under KM, we played more football in the first home game of this season than in the last dozen of last season.

I at least get the idea that, if we have a bit of luck and get our injured players back, we're moving towards a better level. Under Martin I just felt for two years that we were doing exactly the same all the time with no real improvement in technique or style, and he'd not done anything to suggest he could improve on it.

Getting away from that, though, there's also the pride of the club to think of, and there's no way we could take him back and expect not to look like an absolute laughing stock. It'd be the sort of thing Newcastle would do.

So, just to reiterate, that's a no.

Never. Not in a month of 12pm KO Sundays.

Martin NoDeal can rot as far as I'm concerned. Houll will sort it out.
