Jol to Newcastle must be a done deal. Its too much of a coincidence

Yep. Football, the only business where constructive dismissal does not exist!

wouldnt cost any money to get Jol now he is free agent.  and if every villa fan at the next home game donated £2 i think we would have enough to pay him off

Not even a downpayment.

Taken from the Official  Villa Site: GH quoted "The second goal was offside but it was a vital goal because it means that the game is over.

Give him more time? to give up after 20mins....were going to go down if this man stays!

Exactly, tell that to Alex Ferguson.

In fairness Houllier looks like a beaten man in the vast majority of interviews he gives.

I work with loads of Ajax fans and trust me they don't have many nice things to say about him. The name Mido comes frequently to mind when talking of Jol.

Ajax fans have a massive expectation and they ought to. On paper this team should beat every time over here comfortably week on week, yet they sit in 4th spot and drew to NEC at the weekend. He may have done an amazing job at Spurs, but over here he's not done well at all and his constant moaning at the end of every match has really grated on the Ajax fans.

Its possible that he's more suited to the Prem than the Eredivisie, but he's constant fallings out with his own assistant and rumours that they weren't even on speaking terms is hardly professional.

We are not playing well and thats down to 11 on the pitch.

Who picks the 11? His hands have been tied to some extent with the injuries yet he still picks the same defence and they cost us a goal every game. Beye, Lichaj and Cuellar could have come in at some point over the last few games and given us more options instead of continuing with Dunne and Warnock.

Houllier has to go in my view. Last night was a shambles. The players aren't happy and are shadows of their former selves.

Fully agree, the players largely have very quickly become as passionless as the manager

A very poor appointment

If Jol goes to Newcastle, then I think for the first time serious questions have to be asked about Randy, in how seriously we worked to get in a new manager.

I said at the time we were looking to appoint we should hold on with Macdonald until around now when Ajax would be out of the Champs League.  He would then be available.

Why isn't there any clamour for Pieter Huistra, Michel Preud'homme or Fred Rutten as our next manager?

They're all doing better than Jol is, hence him leaving.

I really fail to see the obsession.

Me neither, I think Dutch supporters think more of Steve McLaren and what he did than Jol
