Jol to Newcastle must be a done deal. Its too much of a coincidence

That's how it appears, but MON is being linked too, so who knows.

Most of us wanted Jol when MON walked, and would welcome him to VP with open arms now.

We need a Manager with more steel.

Any talk of geting rid of Houllier is absolute lunacy.
I despair.

If it takes as long to get the next one as it did to get Houllier then the January transfer window will have been and gone by the time the next manager was in place.

I wish I'd got your faith.

I've been looking, looking hard down the tunnel, but I can't see any light.

Jol would be a great appointment, but I don't think Lerner is so ruthless to get rid already.

wouldnt cost any money to get Jol now he is free agent.  and if every villa fan at the next home game donated £2 i think we would have enough to pay him off

Actually, I'm revising my opinion after only just discovering this quote from Houllier.

He added: "It's difficult to say but I prefer to lose 3-0 to Liverpool because I like Liverpool.''

Fucking disgrace.

Jol observations:

Listening to a Dutch journalist on the radio last night, he said that one of the reasons why Jol may be leaving Ajax is because the supporters' expectations are way too high. Do you think someone should tell Jol about Newcastle fans?

Secondly, my Dutch mate reckons that Jol shares a few characteristics with Redknapp ( mainly the bad characteristics)- he's always moaning about having no players, always asking for money to spend, always trying to get himself a pay rise. And some of the players he's taken to Ajax have been fat old has-beens.

If Jol came to Villa he would still have the same inury crisis. There seem to be a lot of posters keen to jump on GH back over the slightest thing. We are not playing well and thats down to 11 on the pitch.

Taken from the Official  Villa Site: GH quoted "The second goal was offside but it was a vital goal because it means that the game is over.

Give him more time? to give up after 20mins....were going to go down if this man stays!
