The Kop were singing his name for that last 5 to 10 minutes of the game, and he gave them a cursory wave when leaving the bench. Not a great move to be sure, but hardly significant in the context.

I am far more concerned that we looked a complete shambles, and Liverpool will not have an easier game for the rest of the season.

I agree that he looked more concerned with keeping warm than turning the teams fortunes around but he needs a bit more time. Interesting that they said before the game that Jol had left Ajax.
