Dunne's Glimpse of the Obvious

Richard Dunne believes Aston Villa have to discover the winning habit soon if they are to salvage their season after their Carling Cup quarter-final defeat by Birmingham City on Wednesday.

"Hopefully this is the lowest point of our season and from here we can turn it around," Dunne, the captain said. "Things have to change because we can't just keep saying we're unlucky. We have to win games."

Why is it when players are playing crap they suddenly have pieces in the media saying "we" have got to do better.   Dunne has become a fat, lazy, sloppy, mistake prone liability and he was not that much cop when he was some good.   Is it their agents who put them up to these insults to our intelligence?

He was motivated and hungry with a point to prove to Man City when he joined us.  He has become complacent, lost hunger, and let himself get out of shape.  Just like he did at Everton and Man City.  He needs to have a word with himself very soon, or we should ship him out at the end of the season (if we can find a ship big enough).
