The SHA v Villa Snow Panic Thread
« on: November 30, 2010, 09:07:43 AM »
A bit of snow in the West Midlands with more forecast.  Will the game go ahead ?

Reasons For

High Profile fixture on TV
Fans haven't got to travel very far
Police o/t and cancellation of rest days already pre-agreed.
To be honest, it's hardly siberia !
Blues will do everthing to get this game on with our injury crisis.

Reasons Against

Played at a ground with medievil amenities and sprinklers that come on willy nilly.
A Groundman that may decide to water the pitch tonight (Remember that from about 10-15 years ago ?)

Ahem...cough....splutter....some of us will have to brave the M6.

However don't tell sheldon nose as I unfortunately fall into his bracket of being a middle class snob from Lichfield and am not a Proper Brummie.

My apologies.  I meant by and large, the fans wont have to travel far.

Nah I'm quite looking forward to slogging it down the M6 in a blizzard.

Jesus, this country built an empire and we're a bit concerned about an inch or so of snow.....

It is a bit parky though isn't it? Still, few beers before the game and we'll be OK.

I hope it is postponed, so we can get some of our injured players back for the re-organised match.

He would litterally destroy Agent Ridgewell just like he did against Evra. Unfortunately even if the game is called off I dunno if he'd recovered in time from his op.

As for the snow, I always lol @ this country shitting themselves over a few inches of snow, but come tommorow I hope the Health and Safety Brigade and WMP will be making a big deal out of nothing and the game will be called off. It would be hilarious if that happens, we get a few players back and then beat them a week later. small heath will do everything they can for the game to be played tommorow... I smell desperation.

From a personal point of view i'd like the game to be played tomorrow. Win or lose, id rather it happened with a weakened side.

I agree. Be nice to see Albrighton tear them to shreds and Gabby to be a week or so fitter and NRC being available to shore up the midfield.

The only sad thing is that I'm prepared and pumped up for it being tomorrow.
