Villa players in your fantasy football team.

Firstly, I was just wondering how many of us have Villa players in our teams and if so which ones and why?  I have just bought Downing for 7 million but my missus has Albrighton who costs just 4.6 million and seems to do nearly as well. I also have Friedel although with our upcoming run of games that may be under review.

Secondly, do you drop your Villa players for tough games and similarly put opposition players in against us?  I dropped Chamakh on Saturday and he ended up with a goal and 9 points. 

I find it hard at the minute to put any Villa players in my side.

Any thoughts?

Erwin Rommel and Field-Marshal Montgomery are my centre-half pairing, and I usually field a midfield diamond comprising Seamus Heaney, Ted Hughes, Umberto Eco and the cookery writer Elizabeth David. None at the min, I've had Young A & Young L at some stage but both were dropped, I had Ireland but he was dropped as well, I contemplated Downing but decided to stick with Van Der Vart

Ashley Young's in my team but he has been dropped after not getting enough points, there is no room for sentiment in sport!

I got Albrighton on the back of the pre season, and at 4.6 he was a snip.  Ash is on the verge of being shipped out, i thought i was in for a good one from him.  And in a stroke of tactical genius i got Clarke in for last weeked cause i thought he'd be playing in midfield and i could get more points from my defence... genius...

I had Ashley Young too, I dropped him for Albrighton who has done well. I couldn't bring myself to keep Milner in from last season when he was immense.

Friedel, Albrighton (one of the best value players in the game) and Downing. Only put Downing in a few weeks ago and he's done naff all since.

I no longer allow myself Villa players because I jinx them. Although our players seem to be pretty jinxed without my help so far this season.

My best jinxing this season was Drogba being diagnosed with malaria the day after I signed him. I felt that was a whole new level!

My biggest jinxing of previous seasons was many years ago - before computerised fantasy football and you could only change your team in one window half way through the season. I had Sturridge of Derby and he immediately had some massive falling out with John Gregory who subsequently refused to play him. So when the window came along, I got rid of him and signed Bettie of Southampton. The following Saturday JG relented, and Sturridge played and scored a hattrick, whilst Beattie suffered a horrific leg break. I remember being seriously traumatised by seeing Beattie in a kind of twitching heap on the pitch and feeling like it was my fault!

Yes - definitely no Villa players for me - things are quite bad enough!

i never pick villa players... i dont like to jynx them...

i do however pick small heath players... recently, defenders... mainly because if they do well, i get points... if they do badly, i get to laugh at small heaths fans...
