Why would we knock down the Holte End because of Ellis? The Doug Ellis stand on the other hand.... crap.

Edit, ignore me, pissed, too many beers.

I think the club has bigger issues to worry about than the crest.

However, if and when we get taken over I would hope they change it.  As soon as he goes, I want every last trave of Lerner's regime removed.

did you ask the same when Ellis oversaw our transformation from European champions to relegation deadbeats in the space of 5 years? Because if not to keep it consistent and equally melodramatic we should tear down the Holte End, the Doug Ellis, the Trinity, Bodymoor...

Probably not as Ellis for all his faults didn't spend nearly 6 years humiliating us by smashing practically every shit record the club had ever set. I'm not surprised some fans want to see every trace of him removed from the club. I know i do.

Yes because reducing a European Cup winning side to relegation isn't humiliating at all is it? He did it in record time and hired Turner and McNeil to see that the job was done properly. How many shit records at the time do you think those two broke? I can only imagine the level of your anger had the internet existed back then.

If we are going to compare the two, it's not even close. Lerner took over a side that finished 16th, got us as high as 6th three times, a couple of cup finals and will relegate us in 6 years. Nobody is saying that the record isn't shit because any time relegation enters the conversation it just is. However Ellis took us from kings of Europe and brought us crashing into Division 2 in less time. That's massively impressive and not in a good way.

Hold it right there. The Ellis v Lerner argument has been done to death and we really don't need it playing out again.

Because let's face it, it's bloody awful. Like a 5 year old designed it.
