Only those who've made it clear in one way or another that they want out. Plus any that Gerard doesn't see as fitting into his first team plans, who he can't find a place for in the 25. Couldn't really say about the latter of course but re the former it would only be Carew and Ireland whom I really want to leave now. The rest, however limited their talents, have at least shown some commitment to the cause.

Ireland is not a team player so he is not one for Mr Houllier, he is lightweight,doesn't tackle loses the ball to easily and once he loses it doesn't try to win it back. Dare I say it he makes Sidwell look good. City had us over when we were vulnerable without a manager who wanted the player. Also with all these injuries and Salifou and Osbourne cannot get a start or even play for the reserves they must be shown the door we have been patient enough with them.

I would like to see another Left back & centre midfielder signed to push Warnock & Petrov.

Also, I'd love to see a top draw striker come. Someone who could push us up to the next level. I'm not sure Gabby is that player.

That's about all, I think. I could make a case for releasing Friedel but all things considered it's probably worth giving him a new one-year deal - although I do think we should sign a new No.1 'keeper.

i think the thread is really clever as the long term aim is to drop out of 11 a side football and join sixes by the motorway! 12 is too many for a six a side team and there will be bitching if people dont get a game!
