Live Streams of Matches
« on: November 17, 2010, 04:53:48 PM »
Could someone give me a start on how to obtain and watch Villa games, normally away matches, via a reasonably fast broadband connection? You seem to use a number of different connections, such as veetle.com or villastreams.com, but I'm a bit wary of downloading programs unless I have been told by others that they're safe to use.

Is there an equivalent of a Dummies' Guide to this sort of caper on the internet?

1.  Click on the Heroes and Villains website
2.  Click on the current match thread
3.  Wait for someone to ask 'anyone got a link?'
4. Click on the assorted links (pages 3-4)
5.  Enjoy the match

You no longer need to download anything for Villastreams - log in and there are 5 channels to choose from streaming on the web page.
You do need to pay however...

I use Villastreams. It costs about 11 quid for 6 months as I remember or you can pay per-game. There is no downloading and the quality is good and always reliable.

You can alternatively look for free streams and sometimes they are good. But just as often they fuck up. Lots of people on the match thread seem to spend their time looking for links and then complaining when they go down, etc. My advice is pay a few quid and watch the game in peace.

Villastreams is very good (but you don't get every single Villa game. Sometimes they are not broadcast, or they can't get a stream*). You can pay for one day(£1.75), two weeks, two or three months streaming (£11).

All you need is a browser and a decent internet connection.

Download sopcast and veetle - they are good for streaming live games and free- go to p2p live and it will give you a list of links to click showing live games- click your sopcast or veetle link and you will see the game on your screen.

If on match thread someone will post a link of tbe best stream , but download veetle and sopcast beforehand!

You get nearly all league games on Villastreams I think it was only the last game of last season that I have not seen on.

But obviously if a game isnt shown being broadcast anywhere such as the early rounds of the league cup, they cant show it.

Personally I think it is amazing value and if you can't get to the games being able to watch 99% of them is great. They also always show the PPV boxing, which is an added bonus.

I was unlucky with villastreams , paid twice and they had problems both times and I never got a refund so now I am happy to find a free link- almost every premiership ge is live and easy to find via p2p live, but each to his own.

Often you have choice of several links for villa games but I find veetle is the best if available.

Villa Streams are great. I go to all the home games but they've had every away game this year so far. I even took my notebook to Oz last season and got the non sky games (portsmouth and bolton way). A good Broadband connection is essential.

There are 10 channels now. I was a little bored last night and watched the Brighton v Woking game. The game wasn't very good but the stream was good quality.
