O/T: Bit of local knowledge - help required
« on: November 12, 2010, 07:51:06 PM »
Hi all,

I am a Blackpool fan who (already gutted at our inability to defend a single corner in 90 minutes) was involved in a minor car accident coming away from Villa Park the other night. The damage to my car isn't serious enough for me to get insurance involved, but just in case the other driver does, I could do with knowing details of where the accident took place, as I forgot to note them at the time. In case anyone's worried about protecting their own, I'm pretty sure she wasn't a Villa fan, or at least hadn't been to the game! In fact I'm sure she was wearing blue somewhere about her ;-)

I have (hopefully) posted a couple of photos I took on my phone of the junction where the accident happened. I was just coming away from a car park by a church no more than 5 minutes' walk from the ground.

Can anyone give me any details, such as the roads pictured and the name of the church? I realise the photos aren't the best quality, but any help would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance!

The road the picture is taken on is Aston Hall Road, the road coming from the left is Electric Avenue.

Not too bad when, after the game, it is two lanes and the police are there waving people through. I believe i am correct in thinking that about 500 yards further on is where Christopher Priest got mowed down.
