Must win.

As ex-Villa players always seem to pop up and score against us, its about time the opposite worked in our favour so I'll go for a Bannan winner. I'm sure the Hare is nailed on to score though.

I'm with you Matt, I can't believe no-one has predicted The Hare to score!
That said, I think it'll click...4-1 Fonz, Ash, Downing and Wee Barry, Hare for them, obviously!!

I think we're due to give someone a twatting. It should have been Fulham, but for bad finishing and a front two lacking in confidence.

The youngsters are looking good. Downing is playing pretty well too. If we can get Ash to relax a bit and just not try too hard, it'll be good. There's far too much pressure on him to be our main man, so I'd take him out the firing line and give Ireland a game. Ash may just need a rest too.

3-0

What on earth is going on?!  I have checked the news wires all day and it seems that not a single senior Villa player was injured at training today, then ruled out for at least one month. Is that fitness coach en vacance peut etre??

MUST win, simple as that, especially with Man Utd at home, Blackburn away and Arsenal at home coming up, i'd be surprised if we got 1 point out of those three.

Line-up:

Friedel

Young (L.)
Collins
Dunne
Warnock

Albrighton
Bannan
Clark
Downing
Young (A.)

Delfouneso

I would go with this except I would put Ash on the bench and start Ireland instead.

They must have had a day off.

Keep your ears pricked for any Darius Vassell like cutting his toenails with a machette type injuries whilst at home though.

No, they had a  double session today, Pat Herd was on radio today talking about Bannan's driving test.

This game could be another one to suit Bannan in the centre of midfield, as Blackpool are as lightweight as Fulham in midfield. He'll learn to cope with more physical teams in time, but right now this could suit him.

Was just about to say the same....you just know the Hare will get at least one goal. Let's just hope it's an own goal...

We really need a win in this one with the four fixtures we have after that.

Blackpool are quite an open team so we will get chances and space to play in midfield.

2-1 us, Young and Bannan.
