If we're talking Blues, in recent years it has to be Gabby at the Sty last season because it never looked on the cards the whole match. Of all time it has to be a Deano winner at home in the Coca-Cola in 1993, Paul Tait was sent off as well.

If we're talking Wolves i enjoyed the 4-0 stuffing we gave them in O'Leary's first season.

WBA -  Daley's goal in the FA Cup in 1990 and Hitz's last minute winner in 2002.

Coventry isnt a local derby in my eyes but in case anyone is interested i would go for Savo's hat-trick completing goal in 1995, a 4-1 win over BFR's Sky Blues.

Singing "We'll meet again" at the throngs of blues fans shuffling off towards the exits at around the 70 minute mark during the 5-1 was enjoyable

Blose, 5-1.

Baggies, 2-1 (Hitzlsperger late goal)

Wolves, 2-1... Heskey.

Assuming we're only on about Blues..

1. 5-1. All of it. Even their goal.

2. Gabby at their place last season.

3. Gabby at their place 07/08.

Recently, either Cahill's due to the importance of winning that game or Gabby's header in 2007.

If other local sides, dogheads 1-0 in the FA Cup in 83 and LC in 95. Albion is, looking back, the backpass Batson moment.

Dave Simmons slamming it into the net at the Holte End whilst a team mate sat on their keeper.

5-1, in the North Stand with my mate watching us carve through the SHA defence time after time, hardly able to believe it and after each goal, running crazily towards the bottom of the stand and joining in a massive communal pile-on. It was like being 10 again.

Against the Baggies, 4-0 in the FA Cup 1997. Brilliant performance.

Wolves - Angel's second in the 4-0

The 5-1 against the shit.

The 0-4 against the scum.

The 2-1 against the stripey-filth.

Of recent times it has to be be Melberg's farewell.  5-1, Blues fans unable to get off down Witton Lane quick enough, and Melberg gets the chance to rub it well and truly in.

However, my favourite moment was Peter Withe's late winner against the Albion in 1981.  Villa won the League by default. Yeah, d'fault of Brendan Batson.

Which leads nicely on to my all time favourite derby match.  Naturally, Blues stalwart Joe Gallagher wants a bumper pay day for his testimonial, so of course, despite the fact they hate us, Villa are invited along.  However, by the time Joe's big night arrives, Villa are Champions.  That alone should have been enough to lord it over the great unwashed, but Villa fail to go along with the spirit of a testimonial occasion and send along, not a collection of reserves and up-and-coming youth team players, but the first team squad.  Result? 6-0 to the Villa. Next day at school, not a peep from those Noses who had all jumped on the Ipswich-were-the-better-team bandwagon.
