Salamanca midfielder Miguel Garcia had to be revived after an hour of the Spanish Segunda Division match with Real Betis today.In what are disturbing scenes to watch, the 31-year-old midfielder seems to be walking around the middle of the pitch gingerly before collapsing on his face.The positive news is that initial reports from Spain suggest doctors from both teams acted urgently and resuscitated the player and used a defribilliator to restore Garcia’s normal heart rhythm.Garcia left the stadium in a stable condition and is at the time of writing undergoing tests in hospital.Salamanca had been 1-0 down at the time and with their players visibly shocked, some even in tears, they went on to lose 3-0 at home to Real Betis.
