They always seem to get tapped up when they have been away with England..

Yep.  Comes back from England and all of a sudden a hold up.  I wonder if fat arse had a word?

If he plays well and gets us into the CL then what's the problem?

We've lost better players than him, that's true, but it would be highly concerning if he were to go, and follow Barry and Milner out the door. It would be hard to see us as anything but a club who is a stepping stone for players in those circumstances

The worrying thing is I don't actually blame him. Spurs have so utterly and comprehensively waltzed past us, whilst we've stood still for three years and had this season pretty much written off. He'll have been here 4.5 years at the end of the season, and that's a lot of his career to stake on one club.

No suprise really,he's seen our best two players depart in the last year or so.

You never know,he may suprise us and resign in the summer if we improve the squad,it just show's how big the gap is between us and the players on how we view the club we love, and the company who pay their wages.

Every player in the country has seen the money being splashed on wages by the mooners and will all be thinking I want some of that. Two years ago just after the Everton game someone suggested selling Young for £30 mil and use the money to purchase a better squad. He was shouted down at the time. Since then Young has become less and less effective in the team. I understand he gets double teamed in open play but the amount of crap set pieces he has delivered since then has been extraoridnarily high.

He's an overated cheat anyway. If he played for any of club i'd love to hate him. That dive for England was cringeworthy!

I'd agree with you Paulie if Ashley was doing the business, week in, week out. The fact is, he's hardly setting the world on fire, instead living on past glories. He's right on one thing, he needs to get his head down and concentrate on his own game. At the moment, he'd be no great loss.

I'd be much more gutted if he went than when Barry or Milner left. If he goes go, and I still think he may well stay, then I'm not convinced it will be to Spurs. Will he really be that desperate to go there when they don't finish in the top 4 this season?

The timing seems a bit strange. Perhaps he thinks that if Rooney leaves Man U will come in for him.

De-ja-bloody-vous.  Getting ever so slightly tired with modern day footballers,  and the long drawn out process of them screwing their clubs over.

I agree with Holloway, the game is just plain wrong.
