Good for them if they form their own club. It's something I doubt our supporters would ever be capable of doing. And they're not "fucking awful", they're currently joint top of their division with a game in hand.

That's actually one of the few things I'll credit them with - I do admire the Wimbledon and FC United fans who set up their own teams rather than just sit back and moan about their plight. So fair play to the scousers too - even more so if they're crap. I'd expect no less from them to be honest.

I think you're probably right though. I doubt that we'd be as sanctimonious and self-obsessed as the scouse/manc axis of evil, and start another version of our football club because suddenly circumstances are not completely stacked in our favour and someone else might get the success we see as our right.

As for FCUM and AFC, you don't understand why they (and Wimbledon) were founded. You don't demand success by starting off in the North-West Counties League. It's nothing to do with being sanctimonious, it's because their founders hated the way their own clubs, and modern football, was going and wanted to get back to enjoying themselves again. It's why so many of us now watch non-league.
