I wish people could get over this victim mentality / London conspiracy stuff. There probably is some bias, but people overstate it.

Totally agree. It comes across as total paranoia and is a bit embarrassing.

That said, MOTD has come over as very 'tired' this season, and the past World Cup was the first time I can ever remember preferring ITV's coverage over the BBC's - never thought that would happen.

MoTD is always absolute bollocks. In fact I can't think of a more accurate description of the programme, with its self-satisfied, knee-spreading, over-paid, jobs-for-life presenters. Come to think of it that goes for most B.B.C.-generated crap. I just wish that I could find a legal way out of paying the bloody licence fee. >:( >:(

I dont watch it anymore. It is indeed absolute bollocks. A pity the only alternative is Sky but there you go.

I'm sick of that jug eared crisp mucher and his halfwit chums smirking at each other whilst talking shite. I'm sick of camp Lawro lounging in his chair like he's just had his sunday dinner and cant be arsed and his poxy BHS shirts fresh out of the packet.
I'm sick of Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea being on first every time and I do regret I have to help fund this garbage.

Here's a match of the day. A big pile of festering rancid shit and BBCs saturday night football programme.

At least MOTD2 doesn't take itself so seriously, or it didn't until last night!

Did anyone see that twat David Gold showing off "his" FA cup on MOTD 2.  When Kevin Day mentioned that the name of Aston Villa was on the cup the twat Gold made some smart remark about trying to rub the name off. Ha ha jealous prick, he's been hanging around the sty too long.
And he wonders why people dislike him, cnut!

It's drastic, but you could consider getting rid of your television set. Admittedly, the few people I know who have were almost hounded to death by the TV licensing people.

The Gold piece and the panel's reactions were brilliant.

The first thing a Spurs fan at work (who went to the game) said was how appalling MOTD coverage was. He reckoned it was a close game and Villa could have nicked it.

Dixon and Hansen on MOTD2 were spot on about that idiot Gold mind. Makes Deadly look like Randy in terms of publicity seeking.

A Spurs fan of my acquaintance said we deserved something from the game and it was the best he's seen for a long time.

I was watching soccer saturday during the game and Phil Thompson didn't want us to lose much did he?

To be fair Darren Moore, the Mirror reporter, said that the MOTD coverage was bizarre in that it didn't do us justice and as has been mentioned, we were on top up when taking the lead, and that we fully contributed to a great game. Its a pity that MOTD didn't show it in full - our contribution, and despite the criticism cewrtain teams get for their coverage you have to wonder why they showed what they did.

My take was that the story of the game was Van De Vaart and they wanted to show him more than anything with bits of us around it. Fair enough I guess in a 5 minute slot.

I see Tom Ross has waded into the debate demanding that Adrian Chiles be brought back to present MOTD2 instead of the current idiot!

Did you see the massive dent in his roller where that bottle that was thrown could have killed the driver, Gold and all of his immediate family?
