Wrong words for the heskey chant
« on: September 23, 2010, 06:34:49 PM »
Surely it should be,, he played for the shite, now he's alright!

It was the same with the james milner chant last season, One James milner!, the syllable count meant that we should have sung, one jimmy milner!
Oh the wit of the upper holte!!!

Always thought this. Surely singing "you used to be shite" at one of our own players isn't going to do wonders for his confidence?!

"You played for the shite" is much better

I always sing this anyway, so tell everyone around you and eventually it will catch on

Yeah that annoys me. Also last night drove me mad with the Houllier give us a wave song. Surely Gerard is a better and easier to sing? Houllier sounds a bit kind of rude.

Thought the same myself to both the Heskey 'song' and the Houllier chant.

I'm not a fan of the "give us a wave" song at all. I'd much prefer the Manager to be concentrating on the game, not the Holte End.

I agree to turn his attention from the game for so much as a millisecond is disgusting, this is an issue I can see myself raising with the general.

Although his English is very good when the call for Houllier give us a wave came up he ignored it until Cowans pointed it out - he then was not sure which end of the ground to wave to until pointed out

JUst goes to show he will need time to come to terms with all things Villa

Probably a bit of a stretch to get the Holte singing this, but I've had 'alle alle, alle alle, houli eh eh eh, houli eh eh eh (& repeat)' to the tune of the Richard Dunne song (ole ole, ole ole, richard dunne dunne dunne etc.) in my head for a couple of weeks now!

Apologies if I've got my tenses wrong for any francophones...

How about:

"He used to be shite...and still probably is, but for those 30 minutes on Wednesday"

However there is a much more famous 'dj beating' gerard in this country - to me gerard sounds weird at villa, unless i give it a french accent "shjeeraard, geev uz eh weyv".

Although his English is very good when the call for Houllier give us a wave came up he ignored it until Cowans pointed it out - he then was not sure which end of the ground to wave to until pointed out

HAHA i thought as much.

By "it" do you mean Heskey?
