Interestingly, the German Pope knew how to pronounce Birmingham - take note Londoners

For a German it's actually an easy word to say. It could almost be a German name.

Never met a German who could pronounce `Villa', though.

Where were the bottles being thrown at his car. If it was good enough for David Gold then surely it was good enough for that old deluded dick!

My Mate reckons the pope is heading off to Oscott College this afternoon. If he heads down the Walsall road and takes a right up College Road do you reckon there's any chance of him sprinkling some of his holy stuff out of the left hand side window to blow over Villa Park?
Can anyone clarify where Oscott College is, i have a bet going that it is in Erdington and not Sutton.

Oscott College is opposite  Halls Garden centre, which also includes Ashley Blakes old bar, The Place to be,
The garden centre have turned the former bar into a coffee shop.
Top of Chester Rd , by the traffic lights.

There's a cemetry at the back of Oscott College.  Great view of Birmingham centre from there.

The area is called New Oscott but has a Sutton post code.

I used to live near Oscott College when i was a kid. Sometimes we would go into the grounds and get chased out by monks.

I'd class that side of the road as being Erdington.

What about Helicopter Rescue?  It's on after Breakfast Telly on BBC1.  Great stuff if you're throwing a sicky.  Which I obviously never do.
