the only way anything can be done about it is if eufa actually do something about their "fair competition" comments and try and make the finances in the game more evened out in terms of champions league revenue, and europa league format and revenue...

would sheik moneyismypenisextension want to buy a pissant little club like manchester city and spunk hundreds of millions on it, if the champions league wasnt the diamond double glazed glass ceiling unnoficial super league be all and end all?!?

but as it stands, eufa are very happy to financially reward champions league clubs so stupidly that it stops any clubs other than the status quo being able to really break into the champions league vip party... at the moment its like trying to pick a bank safe with a toothpick made out of ice... and eufa are very happy with the way things are, because their unnofficial european super league makes them stupid amounts of money, and any talk of trying to create "fair competition" or whatever lip service that ****** platini came out with, is nothing more than squatting next to a forest fire that they have lit themselves in an attempt to make it look like they are trying to put it out and avoid responsibility...

it makes competition almost impossible without a ridiculously large lottery win, which then makes crap clubs, become the new media favourite, and the brain dead morons who read and hear drivel from the likes of tossers like olivier holt, shaun custis, andy gray, monkey man keys, etc, and take their nonsense as their own gospel opinion, which then feeds the flames of fire...

only reason platini is bringing in the financial revenue nonsense rules that will simply make champions league clubs able to spend the nonsense champions league money they "earn", is to help those already in the tournament, and french clubs... its not a coincidence that france were "awarded" euro 2016 and are getting financial help with their stadiums, and in turn, better income from gates to spend... eufa officials in agenda filled decision making? oh, the shock horror!

what we need to happen is for eufa to change the formats of both the champions league and europa league, cut a lot of the financial reward for champions league paricipation and distribute it better between this, the europa league, and youth coaching...

five things need to be done..

1, make the champions league (the name itself is insulting to those not from the highlight generation) for champions only... this makes the tournament more about prestige than money... the fact that a club who finished 5th in their league a few seasons ago won the european league makes a mockery of the whole tournament... with only the champions being in a tournament for champions, we see a better distribution of clubs trying to become champions, because one club can not stockpile all the best players, and thus creating more competition...

2, stop giving so much money to champions league clubs... less money in the champions league stops it becoming the be all and end all, to both clubs and players alike... clubs wouldnt be able to spend so much on wages based on champions league revenue, which would stop clubs being able to stockpile the best players at their clubs with the promise of more money... and less players being attracted to the wages being promised by champions league revenue, means more players for everyone else... meaning more competition...

3, stop rewarding failure in the champions league with relegation to the europa league and cut down the ridiculous amount of games in this tournament... this would make the tournament more prestigious instantly, and with less games, means it doesnt impact as much on an already busy domestic league season... thus meaning players want to play in the tournament again, and qualification into it, attracts better quality players in the squad.. meaning more competition...

4, more money in the europa league makes the europa league a little more appealing to players... meaning as point 3, better quality will come to clubs, and then create more competition...

5, distribute some of the champions league revenue to youth coaching across the world... thus creating a higher number of better quality player to distribute throughout the world game.. meaning more competition...

however, eufa wont change anything other than what suits their own money making or personal agendas, because the status quo suits them, and the only way that will be threatened is by a lottery win that turns a pissant little club like man city or chelsea into one of the so called "big clubs", which is surprise surprise, when eufa start to look at making changes that suit their unnoficial european super league...

as i said, football is a disgrace and i hate it...
