I don't actually care either way, that's how much I hate football and the Villa at this moment.

Yes, that's the spirit. You know you don't mean it really.

By the way, if we get through to the group stage, our first game is on Sept 16th, which is three days after Stoke Away and 2 days before Bolton at home. Not a very well planned schedule is it?

Apart from the Bolton game will be moved to the sunday (which also happens to be the day the Pope visits, possibly over-stretching the police?), so that we have 3 games either side. Though the Stoke game shouldn't be on the Monday night if we're playing on the Thursday.

The Bolton game would be the obvious move you would have thought, but they're still advertising it as Saturday 16th on the website, which is fair enough, but surely it might be wise to warn people that it could get moved in case people want tickets, especially the away fans (if they bring any that is).

Any news on the injury front? Would be good to see Collins, Cuellar and Gabby get a run out.

I'd quite like to see Fonz start, but TM seems to have something mildly against him.

Need to have one eye on the Everton game, where we'll need NRC, Petrov and Ireland, so at least one of those needs to be rested, probably Petrov.

We should win, but a defensive performance anything like the last two games and we're in trouble.

I've heard that Collins, Cuellar and Gabby had a 45 minute run out today at Bodymoor Heath.

Collins and Cuellar looked good but Gabby was knackered.

Cheers. My team then:

Guzan - Beye, Collins, Cuellar, Warnock - Ireland, NRC, Bannan - Young- Fonz, Gabby.

I actually fancy us to win 4-0. More worried about the Everton game.

Welcome to the Europa League!  UEFA have made such a balls-up of European football in the last 15 years.

Sigh.

I don’t know about a win. They treat it like an FA Cup quarter final and their main tactic is lump endless high balls into our box, which we seem unable to cope with. The horrendous defending on Sunday doesn’t calm the nevers either. I wouldn't be shocked if they did us again.

Cuellar and or Collins will be back so we shouldn't have to close our eyes every time a ball comes into the box.

We're going to bounce back and thrash them 5-1.  You heard it here first.

My thoughts, too. Our up and down season continues.

I dreamt about this game last night and was only mildly disappointed when it ended 2-2.

The league never lies and neither do the pop charts. Joe Dolce was officially better than Ultravox !
Hope the play Ultravoxs Vienna over the tannoy at the end of the game when we beat them.
