I think the truth in that would be defined by what he's given to spend and how successful he is.

I'd take K-Mac above pretty much every manager on that bookies list of favourites. Not because I think he'd do a 'Barton' but because the list is so shit. There arent exactly a queue of top class managers waiting outside VP so let K-Mac have a go and if he fails there may be other candidates around next summer.
I thought he came across very well in that interview.

Probably would be. The point I'm making is that it's not the most imaginative appointment is it? Based as it would be on KM having coached the youth set up for 11 years and one good performance in his first game.

I'm sorry, I just don't think KM is the man for the job. I think it'd be a thoroughly uninspiring appointment.

yep ,  he has been there years.  Knows the club, knows the players, knows the strengths and weaknesses, knows ALL the youngesters and what they can and cant do and the players respect him !!  And with respect comes determination to prove yourself and with that comes committed players and with that comes success !!!

Yes, it looks like he's enjoying his moment.  It could be that his next 3 or 4 games are a probation period for an extended caretaker role or full role something he could well be aware of.

That wouldn't be a terrible idea

That point of view is miles away from it pointing to villa "doing it on the cheap", Stu. Imaginative or not, I think Lerner will be picking who he feels is best for the position, not who is the cheapest.

What harm? He's inexperienced at this level and as such will be still learning the ropes while at the same time trying to get us to progress. It could set us back 3-4 years.
