I was having an argument with an Adelaide United fan last week. He was claiming they are the fifth best side in the world!

I'm not sure they could justifiably claim to be the 5th best side in the A League. There's quite a big substance abuse issue in Adelaide

King's Heath and Moseley used to be solidly Villa but now seems to have succumbed to the other lot. It is as though they have osmotically progressed up from Digbeth and environs. Visiting brother on a Sunday we went down to Moseley for old times sake on Derby day. We were deeply shocked if not traumatised by the prevalence of non-claret shirts in The Village Pub. The consolation on the day was they had little to cheer about but then we were a little muted in our quiet elation.
Have they taken over round there or is it true the majority of Sth Birmingham Villa supporters are now domiciled in Dorridge Solihull Dickens Heath etc? I hope the same demogaphic shift is not true of other nicer areas of Central Brum
The board need to subtley think about attracting the lost legions back to the club.
I like to think the Villa fans are still there just less obtrusive..
apols for being slightky off-topic.
I am closer to Chelsea these days...more of that unsettling colour.

Canberra Arrows and now, I guess Sydney FC are the closest since we don't have a team here.

Born - not saying who exactly, but they've got the bestest, loyalest, wackiest fans in the world and they're delighted to be back in the promised land.  For six months that is, until they decide the Premier League is overrated and are looking forward to getting back to play against "proper" teams with "proper" fans in "proper" grounds.

Now - the Villa

Kidderminster Harriers for place of birth
WBA for nearest league side!
Horsham Town for current home
Either Brighton or Crystal Palace for nearest league side to my home. Not sure which is closer.

If Tamworth ever made the great leap forward, I may just be slightly closer to The Lamb than I am to Villa Park.
I know in terms of time I can get there quicker, less traffic at the Mile oak traffic lights than getting round Six ways and Gravelly Hill interchange island match day or not.
When you say nearest do you mean as the crow flies? Or should we work it out on a satnav, and if so do we plot it using shortest route or so called quickest route function ?
See what happens? You ask one question and awkward types come back and ask 3 or 4 in response.

I think there was about 2miles in it though. I supported Villa because of my friends dad and Im grateful to him for that. Thankyou David

Shockingly his son switched from Villa to Blues a couple of years ago *wanker* cough

** Gets out Google Earth **

Where  I was born: Small Heath.

Where I used to live: Small Heath, but only by about 300 meters which surprised me.

Where I live now: Albion.

Just goes to show, sometimes you just know the difference between right and wrong.

Was born in Ward End so Villa/Blues equally close. Now AFC Wimbledon.
