He's not my favourite bloke because he never seems to support Villa when he's involved in their live games but I think he speaks for a lot of us there with what we're thinking.

He's saying stuff similar to people on here. Except that he knows the same as us, nothing [edit: regarding the reasons behind O'Neill leaving].
Bet?

Any chance you'll tell us what you know for your 20000th post?

Spot on really. After my initial shock and disappointment I am starting to think O'Neill is the bad guy in all of this.

Just watched the interview with Ellis there. Not looking in the best of health, is he?

I thought he looked ok actually, for a man of his years.

The only person in the media talking sense, to here some of the so called experts you'd think o'neil was nailed to a cross. I have always been an o'neil fan, but to walk out 5 days before the start of the season just shows what a selfish man he is.

I keep saying it - O'Neill has cultivated the national media for years. They love him because he's always got an angle and being at Only Aston Villa has bugged them. They think of us now as like a spoilt kid who's sulking at Christmas because he only got an ordinary xbox instead of a gold-plated one.

Spot on, for once, Andy Gray. My childhood hero, who I gradually began to hate, but says it as he sees it. MON has really left us in the shit 5 days before the season starts, with no obvious replacement. At least if he had gone in May we would have had time to plan for the new season and maybe had a chance at getting the likes of Mark Hughes or Roy Hodgson in with time on their side. As it is we are left in the lurch like a jilted bride stuck at the altar, with a lot of the family saying he was never right for you anyway.

It hasn't stopped him boasting though - 'Im glad I appointed him', 'I'm glad that I chose Randy Lerner'. Still a prat, and as predictable as one of our home games last season.

I think when the dust settles on all of this O'Neill will be held in slightly less esteem by the media than he has been heretofore.

As an aside, I never quite understood the idea that Gray was anti-Villa given his criticism of us when posters on here say far worse and we never question their loyalty to the club.

Even worse than finding Andy Gray the sole voice of reason in the media was hearing Tony Cascarino making an even better point this morning on SSN.

Christ. I can't handle this. Chris and Villadawg have become miserablists, I sound like a happy clapper, and Tony Cascarino sounds like the voice of reason.

None of us have walked out three times and stabbed managers in the back.
