So you're gutted that we've lost a manger (who walked out because he wasn't going to have complete control) who matched (albeit more consistently) DOL's best season with us on considerably larger resources?

Yep, I'm gutted; why do you find that hard to believe?
Because there are better managers out there?
I'm pissed off with the timing of it, but there's only one man to blame and that's O'Neill himself.

And for the record our squad is more than capable of a top half finish in the league, with or without martin, talk of relegation is ridiculous. We are nowhere near the state that Newcastle were in.

also, if the team is capable of relegation in the first season without him,
doesnt say a lot for the players he brought and the team he built in the last 4 years

I say 1000-1 right now as we basically have the same team as last year. Until it blows up I'm confident we be at least mid table.

It's not going too well this new fitness regime.
Have a bag of roast beef Hula Hoops and some strawberry Chewits tomorrow and we'll take it from there

If the team stays together I think even I could keep us in the division. I'd put money on us finishing above Blues too.

Yep, I reckon I'm a top ten manager. No more, no less.

'Badly' - the manager walked out. I'd call that 'result'.

I wouldn't - at least not while the current BBC News article about our next manager has Eriksson and Southgate in the photo at the top.

I don't know, I haven't tried clicking on the "Go Down" button next to the "Pages: 1 2 [3]" yet.

Come on, at worst we will finished 10th.

I'm just gutted mate, and would much rather be starting the season with O'Neill in charge rather than MacDonald.

The last thing Kevin MacDonald will want is being put down like that. He has done a good job for the reserves and knows more about the young prospects than O'Neill did, especially considering that the latter was rarely seen on the training ground, despite insisting on having his office down there.

How dare people even consider the R word. Oh yes if you believe most the media rubbish we are in such `turmoil` because that speccy twat has kicked us in the teeth and walked out.
I will take all your bets and give you twice any odds you can get from a bookmaker. Hopefully I will make enough money to pay for a great few days pissing it up in Dublin when we win the Europa cup next May.

Why on earth would we be relegated?  We should be in a stronger position because we'll be playing a right back at right back, making tactical substitutions and leaving Heskey on the bench.

Until Monday I was fully expecting us to lose to West Ham on Saturday.  Now I think we'll win.  Kevin MacDonald has done a great job with the reserves so I don't see any reason why he can't do the same with the first team, at least in the interim.

Oh, and sorry to piss on your chips, but potatoes don't count as one of your five a day.  Sorry!
