My own experience of coventry is standing down the front of holte in the 80's and a small bunch of coventry fans in there and the police pulling them out tense moment still can't stand coventry to this day.

Coventry is a place with no redeeming features where it is impossible to enjoy yourself in any way, shape or form.

Not an away day I recall with any great affection.

I always thought the local council should finish the job the Luftwaffe started, just write it off as a bad job.

Surly, misshapen middle aged natives-  the type who look like the remnants of the human race after a mid range nuclear strike-  trying to outstare 10 year old Villa fans. Those weren't the days.

King should fit in well there.

Before the war Coventry was one of the most picturesque unspoilt Tudor cities in the country, on a par with York and Chester. There were something like 400 timber-framed medieval buildings in the city, whereas now there are 50 - and after the war there were 300. The council did far more damage to Coventry's architecture than the Luftwaffe ever did. Here endeth the history lesson.

They hate us, we don't care about them and buy any of their players we deem good enough. Sounds a bit like us and Manchester United. From what I can remember of going there, it's also a bit rich of us to complain about their hooligans causing problems.

I'm sure old Coventry was great.

And the residential leafy areas are still decent.

But the city centre looks like Chernobyl after a Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen makeover.

The good thing is that they know we couldn't give a shite about them. I find their level of hatred towards us quite endearing really.
