Here are the new points awarded:

Correct home score 1
Correct away score 1
Correct result 2
Correct score 4
Incorrect result 0
Monthly Winner 10
Weekly Winner 5
Weekly Bonus Match 5

Feel free to suggest alternatives should you notice any contradictions.

I like the new system, but is there any chance of leaving the weekly bonus match at 10 points, if only because, unbeknown to you we refer to it as the 10 pointer (as in "what you had for the 10 pointer"), also I feel that it is an achievement to get one & the 5 pointer hasn't got the same ring to it. ;-)

But then again I we only nailed one of them between us all season.

Personally, and this is where Martin and I disagree, I would prefer no bonus points. The 5 allocated was a happy compromise. Should there be enough interest in it reverting back to 10 then I would have no problem whatsoever with it changing back.

I think 5 points is a fairer reflection of the balance of luck and skill involved in getting that score right. And I speak as someone who got several 10 pointers last season. It always seemed a bit unfair to me that someone could get several correct results and still be beaten by someone with just that one correct 10 pointer...
