Personally i dont think a.young will go anyway i just wish we could get the james milner business sorted asap i really dont think spurs will be in the bidding for either of them.

He's also done a really excellent job at Spurs.

Champions League and they played some excellent football last season.

Agreed. What shocked me was the way they finished last season. To string together some fantastic results against all the big boys, game after game, demonstrated they're certainly heading in the right direction. I hate to say it but Spurs actually look like a top 4 side.

I've always thought Redknapp's biggest weakness is when he has some money to spend. It must be the barrow boy in him, seeing himself as some kind of supreme wheeler-dealer, he just can't help himself and normally makes a mess with his tinkering of the squad. Sadly, Spurs won't give him enough money to destroy what he's created.

Watched this interview and the title thread is total bollocks- redknapp was asked about the players in question and stated clearly that were Aston villa s players and he didn't think villa were interested in selling young whereas milner they couldn't afford.

He was asked about them and answered quite rightly, Im no redknapp fan but the bloke has said sod all wrong here, totally pointless and misleading thread!

He may have many undesirable qualities but he has one desirable one and that is that he is an excellent manager.

I think he is just honest here. He says they're our players, we won't sell one of them and he can't afford either. Would Spurs pay £25-30million on any player?

Am I the only Villa fan to not totally dislike Arry ?

I can't help but like him, mainly because he's such a pantomime villain.

I think he was referring to the score when 2 fingers went up to the Holte......

No Oxford Grad., but as Paulie says, a character in a game devoid of them.

That's where I'd disagree.

I respect the job he's done at Tottingham, it would be hard not to.

But he's an odious little twerp.

The original game at VP IN 2007 was crying out for a bit of humour in response. We've dished out similar barbs to Grobelaar, Benitez and others in the past. They took it on the chin, could even be seen laughing at it.

Redknapp lost it, not just during the game but afterwards as well. Slating the Villa fans on camera. Humourless, wonky faced spiv.

Not excusing at all the bellend who threw the 50p at him the following season (what a waste of 50p BTW), but 'arry hadn't helped himself with his antics the previous year. Telling the world all about other clubs transfer business and fathering Jamie Redknapp hardly furthers his cause either.

I don't really see as he's done a lot wrong this time.

He usually talks about players at other clubs but on this occasion he just admitted that everyone would like Young and Milner (which we know anyway) but that they were out of their league.

In my view MON would want more money for Young than Milner

Whatever you think of him, he was only answering a question that was put to him. Sky know exactly what they are doing when they interview him...they have airtime to fill. Get that Charlotte Jackson to rub Georgie's boobs, with her own, that should do it...cripes!

Never really been the biggest fan of him, but given the choice between the players that Harry will go out and sign and the players that Mon will go out and sign, well I know whom I would rather have! His teams play more exciting football than Mon’s too.

Still a twitchy faced cock though.

Except for Bournemouth and West Ham. And Southampton.

So, Portsmouth, ultimately.
