Taken in isolation, I think this piece of music of music has to be considered complete cock.
However, because music can have the power to transport us back to another time it sends a shiver down my spine.
Does anybody know the story how it became so ingrained into our consciousness, who was responsible for the music down the Villa then?

Tony Butler used this as his theme tune for years, prior to it being played at the Villa. I have no idea why it became so closely associated with us.

I've had it as my ringtone for quite a while.

They were using it at VP in the 70s when the announcer/dj was one Pete Bayliss. I'm sure he once had a website. He'd know (if there really is an answer).

Complete cock? I agree. Sends a shiver down the spine? Definitely!

They were definitely using it in the early 80's as well as that's when I started going and when I remember hearing it.

This music probably means nothing to a lot of people, but to me it's like a time machine, transporting me back to the 70's and 80's.

It's shame that it's pretty much discarded now.

The late Hurricane Smith's 'album filler' was plucked by Tony Butler and used as his theme tune.
Villa ran out to the music for several years, the glory years.
That's why it's ingrained on all our memories.

Didn't Hurricane Smith hate Villa using it as he was a Spurszz fan?

Does anyone remember the theme tune we use to come out to in the mid to late 80's and possibly early 90's. I use to love it when i were a wee kid but i can't for the life of me remember what it was.
