What I liked about Hodgson with the World Cup coverage was Linker and all them BBC lot saying England will play a Diamond and old Roy said they wouldn't and everyone said he was wrong.

He was spot on.

Alonso...so having replaced me with Lucas, they're now going to appoint Roy Hodgson as manager and replace Fernando with Zamora...

Puyol... and this was Stevie when he heard...*cue hysterics

Wasn't one of the conditions of Sidwell moving to Fulham Hodgson would still be there?

So it was rumoured.

Shame. Maybe Woy will want him at Liverpool. Probably not, mind, as he's one of the few less effective midfielders than Lucas around.

I like him and it makes them harder to dislike. Harder, not impossible. I think it could damage his reputation severely as the circumstances there are difficult to work with.

If I was him I'd possibly sell Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano and bring in a number of new players who could be cornerstones of the team.

some cv and Manager of the Year. Be nice if our manager had a cv anything like :)

BUT is he a Liverpool manager. They are used to inspirational figures even the quiet ones came with a Liverpool heritage. He isn't one to grab the limelight and Liverpool's managers have to have that as part of their makeup. Wonder how he'll cope with Sir A

Is he a stop gap until the club is sold there to bring about the transition and sort out the mess the clubs in, I wonder. He'll do that but take them to the top of the Prem, unlikely, would even doubt they will make top 4.

If he does take the job it makes Capello's job more secure and O'Neills, unless he fancies Fulham to be nearer home

I think the selling will be done for him and he'll just have to get what he can with whatever he's allowed to spend of the incoming money.

Oh well, guess that's open season on Roy Hodgson from the tabloids.

The annoying thing is that I think he'll steady a sinking ship.

I wish the FA would nip in quick and sign him up. Anything to thwart the threat of Redknapp running the national team

Don't think it'll make any difference as I expect them to stick with Capello!

Well considering his best contribution of the season was as a ball boy, I some how don't see it. Saying that, if Hodgson was stupid enough to want him at Fulham..

If its a straight choice between Fabio and Harry I sincerely hope they do stick rather than twist

As a Villa fan, and someone who doesn't give a toss about England, I'm hoping  the opposite, Spentforce.

Like or hate Harry, he's done a bloody good job at Spurs, it'd be great for us if he went for the England job.
