The bloke who sits behind me has a voice in the style of Noddy Holder screaming "it's Chrisssstmaaaas" which reaches double the volume of a vuvuzela.

Two ways of increasing crowds from  the current level.

1. Win stuff.

2. Buy players people want to come and watch.

The potential is there, but we need a buzz.

relocate the club to another part of the country that has not had the worst of the recession ?

considering the depth of the recession in Birmingham I thought the drop in the average was better than I thought

It is, isn't it!!!   (Rolling eyes emoticon!!)

Ever thought it might actually be quite difficult to win trophies at the top of the English league?  How many hundreds of millions have Man City spent and they've won what exactly?!

Ever thought about actually reading the thread and working out that we're talking about the routes to improving crowds being "simple" rather than the actual winning things before diving in?

I've read the thread and know the context.  I still think to say this is "simple" is rubbish.

It's hardly rocket science to announce that crowds increase when clubs win trophies or buy exciting players.  The club and 99% of fans know this.  Sadly, doing either of those things is not "simple" or you and I would both be Premier League winning managers and/or chairmen of very successful football clubs.

Your argument is the equivalent of me saying the answer to global starvation is to grow more food where people are hungry!

Yes, I know it is hardly rocket science. That is what I was referring to as simple.

Yes, I know. That is what I said in my reply to you. I never said it was simple to do.

I thought they were buidling a cage in the corner to put the noses when we have to allow them back again. It could be a bit like that one they used to have in one corner of The Dell.

I dont see why the renovations work in the R Block has meant that the bid screen has had to be taken down. Can someone explain this?

Then after the game they could weld it shut and throw the bloody lot of them in the cut.

Same here. Why was it taken down? Have they sold it to raise a few quid?
