I adopted Catalan as "my" rugby league team when they kept finishing bottom. Odd that they are good these days.

They had one or two Micah and Joleon type piss-takers in the squad. They were booted out and this year it all seems to have gelled.

It's quite funny going down the game because they get around 11,000 in Perpignan and about 3,000 of those are fat northerners on a weekend jaunt to the south of France and the Costa Brava. The Catalan fans are generally quieter than Arsenal but the English are awesome with their support. I am quite happy to support them because of all the free scoff and booze. ;-)

I like Huddersfield, we've been rubbish this year, but did knock Leedsoit of the Challenge Cup. Leeds have been even worse than us though, last year they did the double and this year they could be in a playoff to stay up.

Thought they'd struggle a bit more without Peacock, Sinfield and Leieluai (not sure of spelling), but not this bad.

Leeds' title defence makes Chelsea's look competent.

I regularly go the grand  final with a group of mates - last season was the worst with Leeds being there.

Football is football, Rugby League is Rugby League - agreed? So why were so many Leeds fans acting like dicks.

Usually a good day on the pop and plenty of banter but that was pure partisan with a lot of kids caught up in the "arguments"

Well you won't need to worry about Leeds fans in the final this year.

Wonder if anyone will get relegated this year?

Hopefully Leeds and Salford. Doubt it though.

Leigh look like they're about to get a 4th win and surely clinch promotion. Good for them they deserve it.

Leigh's ground is like an old football league ground pain in the butt to get too even living in the NW.

Made up Leeds are no where near the grand  final - their fans are knobs of the highest order.

England to host Rugby League World Cup in 2021.

Hopefully Villa Park will be involved.

It's a couple of miles off the East Lancs, piece of piss to get to.

So the World Cup starts in a couple of hours.

Guess Aussies will win it again but with a bit of luck we stick it up our jumper. Our forwards, as always are a match for anyone but we lack a bit of sparkle I think in the backs.

The Aussies will win. The only question is whether England can pip New Zealand to finish runners-up. Be interesting to see how Tonga get on, they have managed to recruit a load of New Zealanders just before the tournament. A bit shit for Scotland who are in their group.

So, no predictions of title celebrations on the streets of Beirut ?

Entitlement to play for a country seems to hark back to the days when Shane Howarth's dad once working at Cardiff Docks entitled him to play proper Rugby for Wales :)

I wanted England to go through in the Ladies World Cup, but the system by which they've done it is utterly farcical.

Both teams lose to Australia, as you'd expect.

Cook Islands beat England.

In the other match, England have a piss easy game against Papua New Guinea (who lost all their games) while Cook Islands have to play New Zealand (won all their games).

Result is England beat PNG, Cook Islands lose to NZ and go out on points difference.

Why not just have two groups of four so everyone plays the same matches?
