Return to the fold
« on: June 15, 2010, 07:59:02 PM »
Well, its been five years but I have finally decided to return to the Villa Park fold.

I'm a past season ticket holder, Holte Ender and H&V match day sellor! how I have missed:

"Is it the programme?"
"Where's the North End?"
"I havn't been for a while, where's the Holte End?"
"Can you get tickets?"
"Ellis out!"

you may have heard my dulced tones on Trinity Road encouraging you to buy this fine publication, if you have been going to Villa Park pre 2005.

I kind of lost my religion [again] which co-insided with the birth of my son, and promotions at work.

Well my son is now 5 and I think it is time to get him to his first match [although I did get him on the pitch when he was about 18 months old] so I was checking out the prices when I noticed the under 8 season ticket prices.

£75 for my sons season ticket has made it affordable to get us both season tickets, so its back to Villa Park for me, and a first for a new generation of Villa fan.

Hope its a good season

See you all down their

Mark

Welcome back. Let's hope your son has a few home goals to celebrate. At that age (or any other) nothing beats seeing your team hitting the back of the net.

Thanks all for the welcome back messages.

Hi Dave, tempting offer...

But the life of a H&V sellor is not an easy one Obi Won...

Long hours
Same pay rate as a mexican sombrero maker
A boss that makes Stalin look like David Brent
Shouting at the top my voice "Heroes and Villians thee Villa Fanzine" to which a fast aproaching [possibly deaf] person asks "is it the programme?"
Getting the blame for a crap performance [like its my fault!] usually proceeded by "them all bloody villians"
Getting piss wet through while Mac stands under the bus shelter in the dry [he never once in all the years of selling offered to switch!]

But, it does have its advantages...

ummm
ummmmm
ummmmmmmmmmm
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm sure I can think of one if the bloody vuvuvuvuvuvu zalorrrrr thing would stop bloody blowing [if it carries on through the rest of the World Cup im gonna end up sharing a ward with mad frankie frazer!

Ahaa, I know

Standing outside the most famous stadium in the world and sharing a few hours of my life with some of the finest football supporters ever to grace this good earth!

Can anyone else think of a better reason?

Mark
