Did you know that it's now illegal to have coarse fish stuffed? From the start of the fishing season (next week) it will be against the law.

I've got a stuffed 1.5lb roach that my grandad caught in 1938. Better flush it down the pan before the Fish Police give me the 6 o'clock knock.

To be honest, USAV, I did expect at least a couple of serious responses before we descended into fish punnery.

Fuck it, I dunno why I bother to try and raise standards on here.

Now, get on yer pike back to the baseball thread. You're just a-tench-ion seeking.

So you're not the 'huntin, shootin & fishin' type then usav, Bass Pro shops are obviously wasted on you?

Absolutely not Jon.

Although, I am going to camp with a few friends next week.  The only thing we will be loaded with though, is as much beer as we can fit in the car.   (going quad biking in the mountains).

They're great, I've been many times & took my 8 year old to a Bass Pro in Chicago at Xmas.  Wow Dad it's a gun, fishing & sports shop that's bigger than Tesco & Costco put together.  Can I have a crossbow?

I was driven about an hour outside KC one day to see one of these massive "Outdoor Sports" stores.

Whilst it was very impressive, it was a bit unnerving to see such a large arsenal of weapons.

I know what you mean, we watched a guy buy a Glock 9mm pistol over the counter in IL, weird.

Most of the big guns were kept high up and out of reach. I was longing to be able to walk around the store, gun in hand, whistling Omar-style

Planning on 2 days of fishing next week.

Not sure where to go.

Might go Alvechurch Fisheries as it's fairly local.

Went Fishing 2 weeks ago.

Had a cracking day at Alvechurch.

Had 2 Carp about 10 lbs each.
Had approx 8 Bream about a couple of lb.
Had some lovely small tench, biggest was about half a pound, but they were gorgeous.

Had a couple of perch, they fight well for little fuckers.
