This signing will free up Scott Parker to complete his move to villa and in turn milner to city.

Thought I would get in first before the redtops. ;-) [-(

Good luck to him but never thought he was quick enough to play central midfield in the PL.

Seems he's joined West Ham on a 3 year deal. Good luck to him.

I'll be giving him a clap when he returns next season.

How long before he has a cockney twang?

There is also the small matter of him actually still following the Villa and coming over to watch us during his free time.

I didn't know that. Nice one.

After he'd broken in to the first team, he still went to watch reserve matches. I'm sure he's a Villa fan and that he had a Box at Villa. I certainly remember his friends & family (there were about 40 of them) in the Targett Suite a few years back.

If I were to make up a story it would involve aliens, armageddon or acrobats. Or a combination thereof.

On a free, I'd absolutely definitely have taken him. Will be gutted to see him playing for them in their (poor) imitation of our kit.

Lost his way recently, but I doubt his international career is over and could most certainly have done a job for us as a squad player.

Actually rather angry we didn't go in for him. Small squad, losing players (including NRC and/or Sidwell) and we didn't go for Hitz? Ridiculous.

I think you’re way off the mark. I don’t see him as any better or influential than NRC or Sidwell. In fact he and Sidwell must be card carrying members of the Magic Circle, their disappearing acts were so good.

Well as much I liked him at the time he's a bit Villa 2004 isn't he ?

We're at a much higher level now.

Good luck to him though

Funny how people accept that we can improve as a team yet a player cannot improve over the same time period.

Good luck to him and I hope he gets a fantastic reception at Villa Park.

He was/is an affable fella with an affection for his former club that sadly isn't common among players nowadays.

Wonder what Sendo thinks.

He scored the last minute winner against the baggies on my birthday in 2002.

Good player but not right for a team with our ambitions.
