Seems he's joined West Ham on a 3 year deal. Good luck to him.

Balls.

Would have been quite happy to see him back in the right C&B.

Bugger

I'd have loved to have seen him back at VP.

One of my favourite players of recent years

Same here. I presume he is still playing midfield although I have not seen anything of him for a while.

Well as much I liked him at the time he's a bit Villa 2004 isn't he ?

We're at a much higher level now.

Good luck to him though

Not yet named on their site

Didn't realise he had that many caps though.

Probably would have been a better cover player than Sidwell. Looking forward to giving him a clap when he comes back to Villa Park next season.

The West Ham fans will be probably think we're booing him.

We don't have any other chant apart from 'Shoooot!' and that could backfire pretty quickly if we start up with that again.

Agree with TaxDodger, would have been better cover than Sidwell last year and has also played LB for Germany and Stuttgart, so could have potentiall filled in for Warnock too.

Reading that statement on the West Ham website reminds me of those Clubcall ads that used to be on Teletext!

Better than Sidwell, probably Coker as well, in as much as he carries a goal threat and can pass a ball straight.

He'd have made a good squad player most certainly. He's improved a lot since leaving us. We need to be looking at signing a really decent player to replace Petrov in the 11, never mind squaddies. In certain areas we need first 11ers to shift some of our current players onto the bench.

Good luck to him though, a good signing for the Hammers. I think he and Parker would work well together.

Wonder if he's still got his Birmingham accent?
