I did the fantasy league thing last year. I did have Vettel last year though.

Am pretty surprised by the McLaren's  relatively poor pace in comparison to RBR and Ferrari.

I think they should do what I did with my Corgi F1 models in the 60's: simply throw a couple of dice and move the car forward the number of spaces indicated.

Bikini-clad young ladies with medically enhanced bosoms could be employed to move the cars around the track.

Christ that was a boring season opener wasn't it? The changes seem to have made it even more calculated and predictable if that were possible.

The number of drivers who said, "I could've gone faster, but I had to conserve my tyres" must have been a real kick in the teeth for the rule makers.  Making one enforced tyre stop, followed by nursing the car home is pretty shit entertainment.

I want to see teams encouraged to go hell for leather for 200 miles.  Not a game of on-track chess.

I can only hope that as the teams get used to the new rules, and how the cars respond on full tanks, they will begin taking more risks.  I said to my old man with about 15 laps to go, that if brand new tyres could save 1.5 seconds or more a lap, it'd be well worth someone coming in for a stop and having a flying end to the race, but no-one seemed to want to take that risk.

Boring.

Yep. Pretty shit.

To be honest I switched over to the thrilling 3-3 draw between Rangers and Dundee United pretty quickly.

Contrary to the beliefs of those (myself included) it will be a very, very dull season and not one of the best.

I was really disappointed.  They make all these changes to make it more exciting but they haven't worked.  What they need is to offer more over taking opportunities.

I don't see why they needed to change the rules to be honest?

I thought the sport had just come out of the boring days and the last 2/3 years have been really exciting racing now they've gone back to a boring parade of cars.

If they wanted to encourage economy they should have limited the size of fuel tanks and allowed more freedom for the KERS to be developed.

Did you barge right up to him and interrupt his preparations for his day out to explain that the folks back home really wanted to know how he felt about the day ahead?
