New season starts in Bahrain next Sunday.

Looks to be a great season coming up. That wonderfully fair and sporting German is back, Lewis and Jensen in the same car and 3/4 new teams (Depending on whether Stefan GP are allowed to replace USF1) including the return of Lotus.

I think we'll see a great title battle (expect Button to get thrashed by Hamilton sadly) with Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull looking pretty good in preseason testing. I don't think many of the changes will be successful though. I reckon the new teams will be well of the pace and it will split in three tiers, a close title battle, an average midfield and a distant well of the pace group propping the time sheets up. The stopping of re-fuelling pitstops (Pun not intended) will also I fear have a negative effect it will make it more processional (slow front runners easing off to increase fuel economy), also there will be a good chance of more first corner pile ups with the additional weight of twice the fuel will upset car balance and as Hamilton has said it might be a bit more dangerous.

Champion will be between Hamilton, Massa, Alonso and Vettel for me.

Apparently a new rule to allow overtaking has been introduced for next season.

I don't think it will catch on.

I love F1 and am really looking forward to it this weekend. I htink hte re-fuelling ban will make it ever more like a scramble followed by a precession though unfortunately, so apprehensive about this season.

To be honest, never much of a fan. Used to endure it when the old man watched it, in the good old Murray Walker days, and on BBC, without fecking ad breaks every 5 minutes.

I'm quite intrigued to watch this year though. Hamilton and Button racing on an even keel in the same car (you'd think anyway).

Plus Schumacher back.

It may sound wrong to back ze German, but I want Macher to win it.

Hamilton v Alonso for the title, should throw up some great races hopefully, especially with the cobbler in there as well.
Button I'm afraid won't get a look in this season he's quick but Hamilton, Vettel & Alonso are quicker.

Good luck Lotus, love the classic colour scheme.

Ecclestone wanted to introduce short cuts to try to allow the drivers to cut corners so that there'd be more overtaking. Shows how far removed from real sport it has become that ideas like that are suggested.

I like the politics of F1 but the racing itself bores me. I check the results and read the articles though.

Which team winning would most annoy Bernie Ecclestone? I'll support them.
