As it's non-league day next Saturday we should revive the old tradition of meeting up somewhere.

As I turn 40 that afternoon I concur.

40? Fuck me that must have been a hard paper round.

As for non-league day, I was going to Alsager v Lutterworth in the FA Vase but if there is a local meet-up I'm up for it.

Anyone fancy daring to venture into Castle Vale for Romulus v Tividale?

I might take my lad along to watch Harborough FC at home against Enfield in the FA Vase.

Thanks for that, took me back to my days of going to see Moor Green.
Looked horrible to be managed by the Bromsgrove boss but understand he’s had some success...

FA Trophy Bromsgrove 2-7 Barwell

A week ago Bromsgrove played them off the park in a 3-1 league win. Bromsgrove seem a real Jeckyll and Hyde team this year, comfortably beat sides at the top of the table one week, put in total non performances the next.

Fair to say the manager isn't a happy bunny

It's the Scotch Challenge Cup. Used to be for clubs in Championship, One and Two, then extended to Premier U21s, League of Wales and some Irish clubs. Now includes some English non-league. It's the Leyland DAF or whatever, except when Inverness win it and then it's slightly more important than the European Cup.

I like all the teams they've added... except for the poxy under-21 teams. They can get fucked. Really hoped Solihull would get Clyde, I'll likely never have another chance to go to a Clyde game within ten minutes drive of my house.

But no, Inverness away. 😕

Harborough FC sounds like a team that Melchester Rovers would have played in Roy Of The Rovers.

Wasn’t Enfield invoked the the lightening game which resulted in a replay at villa park years ago.  Surprised they are in the vase as a youngster only 2nd biggest team to Wycombe  none league standard

You're right. Highgate were the "home" team. They wore Villa kits for the day and, in keeping with how Villa tended to do in the late sixties, got thrashed.

That Enfield team went bust in 2007, there are now two Enfield clubs, one in the Isthmian League (Enfield Town) and this one in the Essex Senior League.
